When LILITH, in 1980, asked women to fantasize about life in the year 2000, the dreams were grand: full parity of women in the Jewish community in a world purged of sexism. Now that we’re actually at the millennium, our scrutiny is closer to the bone and closer to home. The measure of feminist progress may be right under our own roofs. How far along have we really come?
