A Special Collection of Women’s Holocaust Writing

Women’s Holocaust experiences are a distinct lens through which to view the Holocaust and its manifold repercussions for Jewish culture today. Thanks to the generous support
of Lilith board member Frances Brandt, Lilith has created the Frances and Kathryn Brandt and Lilith Magazine Women’s Holocaust Memoir Collection at the University of Michigan. While the narrative recounted in each book is unique, the collection is even greater than the sum of its parts: together, these individual stories amplify the chorus of Jewish women’s voices, giving vital attention to the experiences of those who survived and those who were lost.
