Dress is The Reminder of Holocaust

Holocaust survivor Frania Bratt Blum has donated a dress she made in Dachau to A Living Memorial to the Holocaust: Museum of Jewish Heritage. She made the dress when the camp was liberated in 1945, using fabric brought to inmates by their American liberators. Blum designed the dress in a peasant-style that she had admired when growing up in Poland. For years, she would wear it on special occasions to commemorate the day of her liberation. The Museum of Jewish Heritage, which will be located at Battery Park City in Manhattan, is expected to open in November 1990.
