Hebrew for “memories in the living room,” Zikaron BaSalon is an invitation to commemorate the Holocaust in a personal way, among friends, family and guests in an intimate setting. The idea was born from the understanding that today’s connection with the memories of the Holocaust has been significantly attenuated. This new, meaningful and small-scale way to mark remembrance of the Holocaust is creating a unique and authentic tradition. People gather to open their hearts to the stories of the survivors, to sing, to think, to read, to talk and—most importantly—to listen. More about hosting or participating in a gathering at Zikaronbasalon.org. xe88
